Torts needs to go into a deep sleep and take Dean with him. This team selection is a joke and the coach is a joke. Can't believe this is the same Dean was the one who helped the Kings win 2 cups. |

It's not like USA has that many other options.
Kessel was snubbed, ok, who else would make a lot of difference?
Shattenkirk, maybe |

Dan Wallace: Torts Needs to Wake Up - Dan Wallace
Dan, no offense intended... but whomever selected Torts needs the wake-up call. Torts hasn't been relevant internationally EVER...
the honeymoon of success that he seemed to draw from the earlier pre-tournament games against Canada would seemed to have been annulled. Dumb unsophisticated approach.
This isn't the 70s where Shero was rewarded for wearing his opponents out physically. The fact the American's chose who they chose for the roster was a tacit admission that they had no chance of winning the tournament. |

Proud American who knows that was the worst coach they could have hired. I am not going to be cruel and act like he has never had success, but to me, his best years as a coach are in the past. This sport...I will just say this: Whoever is responsible for this roster needs to be held accountable for what they don't accomplish. Because there are plenty of people who are not surpirised at all about the first game, expect the second game to be worse, and don't want the brain trust to act like they can blame the players when really, many people knew they were doing this incorrectly |

If Torts was coaching the Rapture, he'd probably find a way to justify scratching Jesus. Not enough grit. |

Kessel, Bobby Ryan and shattenkirk over Callahan, Duby and Jack Johnson. (Torts boys)... Its worse then Letang, Subban and Hall being left off Canada's roster! |

Dubinsky shouldn't even be in this team. Putting him in over Palmeri is a ridiculous Typical Torts move and keeping out big Buf is a head scratcher too. I enjoy Tort's childish behavior and fiery lunacy, but he's just not a good coach or decision maker. I'm shocked Columbus was dumb enough to give him a job and shocked he landed this jig. |

Play Byfuglien at wing with Kane and Pavelski even strength, on the point on the PP. |
